ABOUT

After 20+ years of raising our family, I responded to a call to seminary in 1989, graduated four years later, was ordained in 1997 and served two churches over 17 years, retiring in 2010. Near the end of my pastoral career, I began training for spiritual direction at North Park, thoroughly enjoying my professors and the members of my cohort. 

 

However, I had a major health crisis just weeks before year two was to begin and knew that I couldn't travel to Chicago to join my friends. My spiritual director invited me to join his small school, right here in Santa Barbara CA.. I spent two weeks of two consecutive summers living in residence with those wonderful, charismatic Benedictines at the Mission, gaining my certificate in 2012. Since then I've enjoyed a small practice in our home on the Mesa and have been privileged to work with several Conference pastors and/or spouses.

 

My husband and I have been married since 1965 and have 3 grown kids, 3 astoundingly kind children-in-law and eight grandkids, half of them already grown up and the others well on their way!
