ABOUT

My name is Alma Rosa Zamudio Maciel. I am Mexican-American, bilingual in Spanish and English. I am married to my wonderful husband, Octavio Maciel. I have two sons, Ramsey and Pio.

I earned a Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary where, I also was trained as a spiritual director. In 2021, I was ordained to Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). Over the years, I have served the ECC in different capacities. Most recently, I served as the Chair of the Pacific Southwest Conference (PSWC) Ministerial Association, and as Director of Operations and Finance for Centro Hispano de Estudios Teológicos (CHET), our Spanish-language Covenant seminary in the Los Angeles area. I am currently a board member of the Advocates for Covenant Clergy Women (ACCW) and a council member in the Association of Covenant Spiritual Directors (ACSD). I bring a deep love for the Church, a commitment to integrity, and a heart rooted in the words of Jesus in John 16:33: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” I take heart daily in the One who has overcome.
